Explore Santa Fe in December
If you’re a fan of camping in winter weather and want to get in on the ski scene, December is the perfect time to camp in Santa Fe. Pack warm and bring plenty of layers, though, because temperatures can range from 17°F to 43°F.
In December, you can catch Las Posadas. It’s a reenactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for lodging and the birth of Jesus. It moves through the plaza and ends at the New Mexico Museum of History in mid-December.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, you can also catch the eight northern Pueblos around Santa Fe marking the holidays with traditional dances.

Visit Us in February
Though February is still winter, temperatures typically start to rise and range from 22°F to 48°F. This is also typically the driest month of the year with very little rain and snowfall. If you decide to visit in February, don’t miss Santa Fe Restaurant Week! We have a variety of restaurants, bars, and eateries that are local favorites for their unique cuisine, and it’s a great way to get in on the action without breaking the bank!
